Mitsue Collective — About

Prepared,
not promised.

For those who go where the water is and hope the food works out.

01 — The Name

Sue & Mitsue

Mitsue Collective is named after my two grandmothers, Mitsue and Sue. Growing up, both believed in being prepared. Whether it was a trip, a family dinner, or everyday life, they always kept simple remedies close by and treated digestive health as something worth taking care of.

One saying I still hear from my uncle is, "Health comes from the gut." That mindset stayed with me long after I left home and eventually became the foundation for this brand.

02 — The Why

Built from experience

I've spent much of my life traveling to surf, trying local food, and planning trips around places I wanted to explore.

Along the way, I learned how quickly unfamiliar meals, changing routines, and long travel days can leave your stomach feeling off. When a trip is only a week long, losing even a day can feel like losing the reason you came.

I grew up taking many of the same botanicals my family trusted. They worked for us, but they weren't always something I wanted to travel with. The smell alone could take over an entire backpack or suitcase.

I didn't want to reinvent what I grew up with. I wanted to reinvent the experience of carrying it.

03 — Our Approach

Reinventing the experience, not the tradition

Mitsue Digest is rooted in the same philosophy I grew up with, using botanicals traditionally used to support digestive comfort. The goal wasn't to reinvent those ingredients. It was to create a travel-friendly tablet I'd actually want to carry on every trip.

This is a thoughtfully formulated tablet designed for occasional digestive support when unfamiliar meals, changing routines, or long travel days leave your stomach feeling off.

Mitsue Collective is for people who travel with curiosity, respect the places they visit, and believe being prepared is part of the adventure.

We can't predict every meal or every trip. But we can pack thoughtfully.
